Week 5 - Find The Light

Since starting this project last year, I've learned to spot good light a little better.  My problem though, is knowing what to do with it once I find it!  Lots of trial and error.  Here is Bridger, taking a break from a jam session. ;)

Finley usually loves the snow, but this morning was a blizzard with snow blowing everywhere and he absolutely refused to go outside.  He spent most of the morning glaring out the window until I finally pushed him out the door so he could take care of his business.

Week 1: Self Portrait

I've decided to do another 52 project.   Seriously, what am I thinking?  Just a week ago I was SO relieved to be finished.  However, I've learned this about myself...I need a project and a deadline to keep me motivated.  And I want to stay motivated in order to keep learning and improving and therefore, I must do another 52. 

I gave myself a riveting pep-talk, logged onto the website that was doing the 52 and saw the first assignment...self portrait.  Ugggh.  Noooo!  I had so cleverly dodged the selfie bullet just weeks ago.  I cringe when I see photos of myself and pick out all of my flaws, but I set all my insecurities aside and did it anyway.  After about a gazillion tries, this was the best I could do.  I am SO glad no one reads my blog. 

Week 52 - Big

Week 52.  I can't believe I made it the. entire. year.  Phew! 

This little darling was in my primary class and turned the big "8".   I love her confidence, ease and sass in front of the camera.

Week 51 - Photographer's Choice

My boys never take naps.  Much to my dismay, after the age of 2, they all refused to snooze during the day.  However, they can't seem to resist the calming lure of the Christmas tree.  I've snapped several pictures over the years of my boys taking a rest near the tree.
